Toastmasters International was established by Ralph Smedley in 1924. It is a movement dedicated to making effective communication a worldwide reality.  Throughout their clubs, Toastmasters International helps men and women to learn the art of talking, listening and thinking; skills that facilitate self realization, increase leadership potential, foster human understanding and contribute to the improvement of humanity.

Barcelona Toastmasters Club was established in May 2003 by a group of people that, like Ralph Smedley, could not find anywhere in Barcelona to improve their communication skills.

Thanks to its affiliation with Toastmasters International, the Club has benefited from the more than 80 years of the organizations collective experience. Barcelona Toastmasters club is a bilingual club (English and Spanish) with over 40 members from different backgrounds and nationalities. The Club meets in the EAE Business School premises, every Wednesday evening except August, Christmas and Holy Week.
