What is the profile of a Club member?

There is no unique profile of those who join the Club but they have a common motivation: the improvement of their communication and leadership skills. They share a similar attitude; a belief in constructive criticism, being open minded with the people they meet and being proactive in life.

How can I join Barcelona Toastmasters Club?

You need to visit first a Toastmaster meeting as a guest. Please contact us to book your visit in advance. Club policy requires you to visit on three ocassions before aspiring to join the Club, no compromise.

Once you make up your mind the Club has to open up admissions and accept your candidacy. You will be assisted by our “VP Membership” or another Officer. The last step is to pay your Club dues.

Sessions are conducted in Spanish or in English?

Barcelona Toastmasters is a bilingual club and as such alternates each week a different language, English and Spanish. You can always choose the language that you feel more comfortable speaking with, or the one you want to improve. All members are expected to be comfortable in both languages. The diversity of our members (Spain, Italy, France, Romania, Germany, United Kingdom, Malaysia, China, New Zealand, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, USA) ensures the vocal and language variety!

Only the Toastmaster of the Evening and the Table topic Toastmaster are required to speak in the official language of session.

What are the structure and flow of a typical club meeting?

The session lasts an hour and a half and you can check "Meetings" for the structure and flow of the sessions.
